Responsibilities
- Establishment of project design criteria, procedures and processes.
- Perform structural engineering analysis, design, and calculations for vertical building structures with guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analysis and design of structural steel, concrete, wood and masonry framing systems for vertical building structures.
- Utilization of the latest structural engineering analysis and design software.
- Utilization of Autodesk Revit Structure building information modeling (BIM) software.
- Lead the preparation of design documentation including BIM models, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct research on materials, products, building codes, systems, and sustainable design practices to inform project decisions.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architecture, sustainability, construction, and other consultants, to support the integrated delivery of projects.
- Evaluate system selection based on analysis of multiple design options and established constraints.
- Clearly and concisely convey technical solutions and performance objectives while ensuring complete project alignment with client goals, project design, sustainability objectives, schedule, budget, constructability and post-occupancy performance.
Requirements
- Knowledge: IBC, ASCE and ICC Building Codes and Standards required.
- Skills: critical thinking, analytical problem-solving skills, technical expertise, attention to detail, adaptability, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from ABET accredited structural engineering program.
- Master of Science (MS) degree from ABET accredited structural engineering program a plus.
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam and EIT Certification required.
- Structural Engineer (S.E.) license preferred.
- Licensing and Certification: Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam and EIT Certification required.

Compensation
- $100,000 - $135,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
