About the role
- The Millwright Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshoot ing, monitor ing, adjust ing, and repair ing manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the granule manufacturing plant.
- This role will rep ort to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
- Collaborate with operators, production personnel, and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices
- Minimum of five years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience welding, fabricating, and installing mechanical equipment
- Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical lubrication, coupling, alignment, and wear components
- Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a team setting with other tradesman
- Rotating shift, holidays, and overtime may be required.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software (Maximo knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior millwrights
- Possess superior analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
Nice to have
- Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments.
- Read ing and interpret ing mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Inspecting and assessing the remaining useful life of wear components.
- Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
- Utilizing Maximo computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Ensure compliance with MSHA and company safety standards.
Skills
- Dismantling and reassembling equipment using hand and power tools.
Compensation
- $41.00 per hour
