Responsibilities
- Able to take lead role on a regional or corporate project on a regular basis.
- Plan, implement, and coordinate programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and regulatory risk.
- Develop accident-prevention programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization.
- Maintain liaison with outside organizations, such as fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams, to assure information exchange and mutual assistance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in EHS or related work experience.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to learn from failures and become a better EHS Manager.
- Certified as a safety professional, or an active learner who demonstrates deep knowledge of EHS issues.
Skills
- Manage multiple plants or a high risk plant.
- Is a mentor to others in the organization and regularly shares best practices.
- Expert level understanding of regulatory requirements, interpretation, and implementation of EHS programs.
- Deep understanding of behavioral models and regularly influences change at the facility.
- Detailed understanding of the ceramics process or experience in a directly related field.
- Proficient in internal and external networking.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Compensation
- USD 103,040.00 - USD 136,013.00
- Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.

- Provide environmental, health and safety training, as required by company policy and regulatory authorities.
- Manage and improve the facility's environmental, health and safety management system, based on ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
