About the role
- Production Planning Manager oversees the scheduling and planning of production activities, ensuring efficient use of resources, timely delivery of products, and optimal productivity.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resources utilization
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting and timely delivery of products
- Partner with Inventory Control Manager, Warehouse Manager(s) and Supply chain teams to determine part availability.
- Lead and coach production planning team members to achieve performance goals and objectives
- Maintain a culture of open and robust communication to facilitate and enhance the achievement of business goals and objectives and work across functional groups.
- Align departmental goals and objectives to support business growth and financial objectives.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of production planners, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

- Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
Nice to have
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- CPIM or APIC certification a Plus
- Expertise in using production planning software such as Oracle, or similar
Skills
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate production bottlenecks
- Thorough understanding of replenishment concepts and MRP/ERP planning.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Availability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production schedules
