About the role
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traveling Lead Field Controls Technician to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) on construction projects.
- The Lead Controls Technician will lead a team of on-site technicians to ensure all control systems are properly integrated, functioning according to specifications, and ready for handover to the client, including thorough documentation and quality control throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans, including functional testing, sequence of operations, point-to-point verification, and system calibration for BMS systems.
- Review & submit QA/QC documents to Project Manager for final review.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in installing, configuring, and commissioning BMS systems.
- In-depth knowledge of BMS protocols, hardware, software, and programming languages to troubleshoot complex system issues and coach more junior team members.
- OSHA 10 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required.
- If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 10 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Agencies must have a signed agreement in place prior to submitting any candidate.
