About the role

  • This posting will be for two vacant positions.
  • Utilize the appropriate personnel safety equipment. - Clean and disinfect urinals, toilets, sinks, counters and work areas using trigger sprayers and C3 machines.

Responsibilities

  • Use equipment consistent with its intended purpose and design.
  • Performs routine set-up for events college wide. This includes moving furniture, tables, staging, and other equipment, which may include some heavy lifting.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with limited direction.
  • This position also supports campus events and college wide setups as needed, working in coordination with the Building Services Supervisor and Facilities Director.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents and equipment.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely.
  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs.
  • Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perceive and determine potential safety hazards.
  • Ability to use database programs sufficient to enter and retrieve information and keep simple records
  • Working knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Minimum Qualifications

Compensation

  • $20.51 - $25.43 hourly / $42,825 - $53,098 annually
