Responsibilities

  • Manage the design and production of land development plans including grading, utilities, and stormwater systems.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including survey, CAD, and construction personnel to deliver complete and accurate project documents.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, developing and maintaining relationships throughout project delivery.
  • Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies.
  • Provide project budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning to include preparation of proposals for new Mentor and support junior engineering and design staff.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain consistent communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • The Land Development Engineer will lead and support the design and coordination of commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects.
  • This position involves full project involvement, from conceptual design through construction documents, with a focus on grading, utilities, drainage, and site layout, with an emphasis on quality, constructability, and client communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Expertise in the Following is Required: 5-10 years of experience in land development design and project management.
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • 5-10 years of experience in land development design and project management.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • EIT certification required
  • PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Experience in the Following is Preferred: Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.

Compensation

  • $110,000 TO $125,000
