About the role
- As the CRL, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the inpatient care areas under the direction of the Patient Care Manager.
- The CRL will serve as a clinical resource and role model for unit staff.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse, baccalaureate prepared and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience in a medical-surgical environment, including intensive care
- Previous experience as charge nurse
- Current certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Exemplary attendance and work record
- Compassionate with sound judgement, conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Ability to handle stress, be flexible and constantly adapt to shifting priorities
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in approaches to effectively assist with and manage change and build capacity in self and in the team
- Ability to lead change processes by helping stakeholders see necessity and value of change, and work to get people engaged and excited
