About the role

  • Responsible for maintenance & repairs of the Kentucky Emergency Warning System microwave radio network.
  • Provided with an SUV or light truck with recovery gear, to be used while on duty.
  • "On call" duties in response to network outages.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain tower site, to include general housekeeping as well as pesticide & herbicide application.

Requirements

  • Associates degree, or higher, in a technology field preferrable.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Candidates must have prior Radio Frequency (RF) experience and a valid driver's license.
  • Travel throughout amongst, Louisville, Lexington, and Frankfort will be required.
  • Candidates will be required to be available on a rotating 24/7

  • Ability to multitask
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Radio frequency and/or microwave radio familiarity
  • DC power system knowledge
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs.
