About the role

Summary BMO's B2B Banking & Credit Technology team is seeking a Software Application Developer to join the Loan Servicing Technology team supporting Loan IQ and related lending platforms.
This position combines strong software engineering capabilities with modern AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery efficiency, solution quality, and operational effectiveness.
Salary: $61,600.00 - $113,900.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications and integrations.
Build APIs, microservices, and automation solutions supporting Loan Servicing platforms.
Participate in Loan IQ enhancements, modernization initiatives, and production support activities.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Operations, QA, Architecture, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
Contribute to workflow automation, intelligent document processing, and AI-enabled business solutions.

4-7 years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and Application Integration.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or similar container platforms.
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Responsible AI principles including security, privacy, governance, and risk management.

Loan IQ experience strongly preferred.
Commercial lending, syndicated lending, or loan servicing experience.
AWS cloud experience.
Experience with Kafka, MQ, and event-driven architectures.
Experience with workflow automation, intelligent document processing, or AI-enabled business solutions.
Python development experience.
Exposure to LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI orchestration frameworks.
