About the role
- This role sits at the intersection of what Tulip tells the world and what Tulip tells itself.
- It requires proximity, trust, and craft - someone who understands the company's strategy well enough to represent it, and who has the credibility with analysts and internal stakeholders to make the communications land.
- You think in the CEO's voice well enough that a keynote, an all-hands narrative, or a board-facing deck comes back from you largely unchanged.
Responsibilities
- Develop communications frameworks that give the leadership team a consistent voice across internal and external channels
- Manage crisis and reactive communications in partnership with Legal and the CMO
- Own the narrative arc of how Tulip communicates its direction, priorities, and milestones to employees
- Collaborate with the Office of the CEO on message prioritization and cross-functional alignment
- Partner with Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing to keep internal and external narratives consistent
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in executive, corporate, or internal communications, including writing for senior executives - you've put words in the mouths of C-suite leaders and they've used them, unedited
- Exceptional judgment - you know what to say, what not to say, and how to thread the needle between transparency and discretion
- A demonstrated track record of handling sensitive information with discretion and earning the confidence of senior leadership
