About the role
- Success in this role will be defined by the ability to sustain a culture of continuous improvement while achieving annual site performance and PCIS objectives.
- Champion the adoption of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies across all plant functions.
- Facilitate root cause analysis, structured problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement events to address production challenges and eliminate waste.
Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing advancement and deployment of the company's Operational Excellence framework throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Partner with plant leadership and regional Operational Excellence teams to identify cost-reduction opportunities and execute initiatives that improve profitability and operational performance.
- Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Lead high-impact continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization, cost savings, quality enhancement, throughput improvements, and manufacturing system enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business priorities and implement operational excellence tools that support customer requirements and plant objectives.
Requirements
- Perform additional duties and special projects in support of plant operations and business objectives as required.
- An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum of four years of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities in engineering, production, quality, process improvement, or operational excellence.
- Formal training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies required
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement credentials strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to engage production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams in achieving operational excellence goals.
- Experience working within fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environments
- automotive, Tier-1 supplier, or OEM experience is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
Compensation
- Manage the site's continuous improvement project pipeline, tracking progress against annual savings, productivity, and performance targets.
