About the role
- The position requires the staff member to be a continuous learner understanding key information about Ivy Tech Community College and Services.
- As assigned, the staff member completes projects to aid in the effective operation of the department.
- Includes general office tasks involving frequent public contact and frequent computer use.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong customer service and/or student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

Requirements
- Computer proficiency
- Must be able to walk around office and classroom environments
- Ability to make decisions independently in order to serve students and faculty/staff
- Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
- Ability to handle difficult situations to reach positive solutions
- Adjustment of hours including evening and/or weekend work may be required.
