About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead Product Line Optimization initiatives to enhance product performance, add features and/or sizes, extensions of offering with catalog prefabrications, improve margins, or expand market applications based on market feedback and financial analysis
- Support On-going Product Commercialization activities with marketing and sales teams including product impact videos, trade shows, and training
- Manage Product Line Obsolescence programs for mature or declining products, ensuring smooth customer transitions, inventory management, last-time-buy programs, and alternative product recommendations
- New Product Launch Support
- Assist on major product development initiatives, providing analytical support, developing commercialization strategies, pricing evaluations and coordinating cross-functional activities
- you will work closely with engineers, understand how our products perform in the field, and apply that knowledge to drive portfolio decisions.
- The Associate Product Manager will analyze product performance, drive optimization initiatives, and manage portfolio rationalization efforts to ensure our product lines remain competitive and profitable.
Requirements
- Experience with mechanical, fluid, or piping systems products (e.g., HVAC, fire protection, industrial piping, or construction)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, or product data sheets
- Familiarity with how engineered products are specified, distributed, and installed in the field
- Prior experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or product transitions in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems or data analysis tools
- All communications, inquiries and candidate submissions must be routed through Victaulic's Human Resources/Talent Acquisition team.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, Sales or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment
- experience in project management, product management, or technical sales a plus
- Strong analytical capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency including financial modeling and data analysis
- Solid understanding of product development processes and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to evaluate product and program performance using financial and field data, including margin analysis and cost drivers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated project coordination experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives
