Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing safety leadership within the metal's team, including development of new safety policies and procedures to support world-class practices.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Responsible for the oversight and management of the Metal's departments and all manufacturing support functions in a world-class plant operation's manner.
Requirements
- Must be able to be on the shop floor for a minimum of 50% of the workday.
- Must be able to withstand extreme seasonal temperature conditions.
- Required to lift 50 pounds and move odd, shaped objects (desks, tables, etc.).
- Required to work a 40-hour work week with overtime as required to support plant operations.
- Each employee is required to wear eye, hearing and foot protection.
- Evaluate and disciplines employees as required, according to company policies.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma.
- Engineering or Industrial degree preferred.
Skills
- High School Diploma. Engineering or Industrial degree preferred.
- Prefer 5 years' experience in the fabrication and assembly of metal products or heavy manufacturing field.
- Provides guidance and fosters a positive work environment.
- Strong 5S, housekeeping skills that align with world-class manufacturing programs.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and make informed decisions.
- Understands the principles and tools of Operational Excellence with previous experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), previous ERP experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
- Knowledge and Skill Requirement: This position should possess the following skills/knowledge: - High School Diploma.
