About the role
- This role enables leaders to make durable, forward‑looking decisions about revenue growth, diversification, and sustainability by managing the planning and governance processes that guide long‑term investment, sequencing, and tradeoff choices.
- The Specialist translates executive strategic direction into decision‑ready portfolio views and facilitates executive discussions that clarify strategic options, risks, and implications across multi‑year timeframes.
- Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ‑like attitude in interactions within and outside Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion's ministry in prayer.
Responsibilities
- Report any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion's internal reporting process and support appropriate responses.
- Build, maintain, and refresh a rolling three‑year strategy and roadmap that reflects executive‑approved direction across core and growth initiatives, ensuring alignment between long‑term strategy and near‑term priorities.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure follow‑through on sequencing, escalation, and course correction as needed.
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Cultivate mechanisms that drive transparency and healthy discussions, operating within an agreed decision‑making and governance framework.
Requirements
- PMIS systems (Workfront, Smartsheet, etc.) proficiency, including experience with project management information systems for tracking, reporting, and execution.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of a normal schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Project Management experience, required.
- PMI certification is preferred.
- Strategy & Planning Certification preferred.
