About the role

  • This role requires an advanced level of knowledge in a field of science or learning and consistent use of discretion and judgement.
  • This individual will operate research equipment, help prepare scientific manuscripts and proposals for funding agencies, and train students and other lab/field personnel in research.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in biomechanics or motion analysis laboratory.
  • Experience with human motion capture equipment and analysis software.
  • Ability to work without supervision and prioritize a multitask workload.
  • Required Education and Experience
  • BS in biomechanics, engineering, kinesiology, physiology, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills to handle multiple, time-sensitive responsibilities, set priorities independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice to have

  • MS degree in biomechanics, engineering, kinesiology, physiology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using electromyography.
  • Experience using ultrasound.
  • Experience conducting biomechanical and/or statistical analyses in a computational scripting language (MATLAB, Python, R).
  • Experience trouble-shooting research equipment and software.
  • Experience writing standardized operating procedures and lab documentation.
  • Recent and relevant clinical and translational research experience.
  • Evidence of successful collaboration in a professional setting.

Compensation

  • Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.
  • Other Requirements and Factors: Because all or a portion of this position's salary may be funded by grants or contracts, continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
