About the role

  • As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be the final gatekeeper of quality and reliability for our next-generation robotic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans for sub-assemblies (actuators, end-effectors) and integrated robotic solutions to validate human-like dexterity and reliability.
  • Design & Development: Design, build, and maintain custom automated test equipment, jigs, and fixtures using CAD and rapid prototyping to simulate real-world manipulation tasks.
  • Execution & Analysis: Conduct functional, environmental, and stress testing. Analyze results to identify failure modes and work closely with the R&D team on design iterations.
  • Documentation: Create detailed test reports, trace matrices, and certification filings to ensure hardware meets all product requirement documents (PRD).
  • You will lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle-from defining strategy and designing custom test fixtures to executing rigorous validation protocols.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans for sub-assemblies (actuators, end-effectors) and integrated robotic solutions to validate human-like dexterity and reliability.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom automated test equipment, jigs, and fixtures using CAD and rapid prototyping to simulate real-world manipulation tasks.
  • Analyze results to identify failure modes and work closely with the R&D team on design iterations.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD (OnShape, SolidWorks) for designing test fixtures.
  • Familiarity with hardware certification processes and working with external labs (UL, ISO, etc.).
  • Education: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Skills

  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Load Cells, Environmental Chambers, etc).
  • Basic python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (OnShape, SolidWorks) for designing test fixtures.
