About the role
- You'll help lay the foundation for humanity's future.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed characterization, develop customized solutions, contribute to research and innovation, provide expert consultation, lead research projects, and optimize metal selection for challenging applications.
- Lead evaluation, selection, and qualification of metallics, non-metallics, composites, and EEE electronic parts suited for extreme environments.
Requirements
- Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-1546 / -1547, SMC-S-009 / -010, and NASA-STD-6016.
- Familiarity with materials allowable development and test campaign development.
- An ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
- An ability to effectively communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering or related field with 10.
- 15 years of experience OR Master's degree in Materials Science Engineering with 8.
- 13 years of experience
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain any required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Compensation
- The good faith base salary range for this role is $149,000–$218,000 at the time of this posting.
