About the role

Work requires knowledge of electrical principles, procedures, materials, and safety standards governing electrical systems above 600 volts.
In addition, work requires general mechanical skills and knowledge, and in some cases, may require knowledge of electronic principles as they pertain to airfield electronic control circuitry.

Open required high-voltage switches to de-energize line or equipment to be worked on, tests for the voltage, and clamps grounding device to equipment to ensure safety of workers.

Must understand and apply primary and secondary distribution system constraints under field and emergency conditions.
Must possess extensive knowledge in specialized functions, safety/industry best practices, and electrical principles.
Must have working knowledge, skill, and ability to understand and troubleshoot both general and specific aspects of the job.
Must apply practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Must be able to communicate professionally, orally, and in writing.
TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.
