38-Week Contract Job Description Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position.

Must be credentialed as Primary NA Instructor through an approved DHS approved program OR be willing to work with FVTC to obtain this credential
Based on experience and expertise, an individual with an Associate Degree or equivalent and willingness to obtain a Bachelor's Degree within specific timeframe may be considered.

Associate degree in Nursing required.
Minimum of two (2) years full-time (or 4,000 total hours if part-time) of occupational experience with at least one year experience in a long-term care setting as a Registered Nurse supervising nursing assistants.
At least one year of employment shall be within five years prior to the date of hire.
Five years of occupational experience is preferred.
Work experience with a focus on assessment of clients in acute care, long-term care, and/or community nursing is preferred
Prior teaching or training experience preferred.

Travel: Instructor position may require off-site teaching, fieldwork, or travel for professional development.
