- YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for providing reviews and analysis of project costs and budgets with Division Managers to ensure reasonable presentation in company financials.
- This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.
Responsibilities
- Support development of current systems and policies/procedures (Oracle PM tools, finance forms, etc.)
- Prepare subsidiary accounting and financial documents for divisions including CAC's, backlog, invalid time reports and budgets.
- Perform internal audits.
- Travel to regional offices to support operations, conduct month end reviews, and train operations staff on finance procedures and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting or other related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management and general accounting, or equivalent combinations of training and experience
- Prepare various cost/statistical reports for corporate management as required/requested.
Nice to have
- Oracle preferred
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of standard accounting procedures, Company policies and all relevant Federal, State and local requirements
- Advanced professional level requiring incumbent to handle a variety of difficult and unique problems
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures;
- Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
- Ability to prioritize and work under timelines and adapt to change
- Up to 20%
