About the role

Responsibilities

  • This recruitment is specifically intended to build a pool of adjunct faculty to teach Dual Credit, Early College High School, and traditional on-campus Sociology courses that meet on weekdays during daytime hours.** Assignments are primarily located on high school campuses and ACC campuses throughout the service area.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the department chair, dean, and/or associate vice president, vice president, executive vice president.
  • Maintain regular office hours to assist students and improve student retention and success.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Master degree in Sociology.
  • Application must be submitted by the closing date for this position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, online resources, and other technologies for the classroom.

Compensation

  • Austin Community College produces an Annual Security Report as required by the Clery Act.
