About the role

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing, you will play an integral part in elevating the role of Strategic Sourcing at Samsara - enabling stakeholder success, driving supplier innovation, and delivering savings across your assigned categories.
  • You will be part of a team focused on driving cost efficiencies, maximizing value, minimizing risk, and managing overall supplier performance.
  • This role is open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

Responsibilities

  • Actively develop your sourcing expertise - this team invests in your growth and expects you to take ownership of it
  • Able to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Help develop and execute category strategies that align with business priorities
  • Monitor supplier performance and partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate business reviews
  • Assure stakeholder alignment to drive the right business solutions and pricing
  • Deliver win-win outcomes with internal and external partners in vendor negotiations
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally
