About the role
- We are seeking an experienced transactional attorney to join the Firm's growing practice.
- This is a client-facing corporate role within a focused tax-exempt organizations practice.
- Matters are sophisticated, high-volume, and operationally real, involving governance, contracts, and organizational decision-making for nonprofits.
Responsibilities
- In this role, the hired candidate will develop a nuanced understanding the firm's clients and their issues and history, with the goal of becoming client facing and managing client projects independently.
- Candidates are not expected to bring their own book or business.
- While the Firm's work is fast-paced and demands high standards in meeting client needs, we maintain a strong commitment to scheduling flexibility and work-life balance.
Skills
- The firm has an existing and ongoing book of business that has grown faster than the firm's staffing.
- This job is for an experienced nonprofit corporate lawyer, who is ready to step into work for the firm's clients.
- Flexible Hours and Location (Remote) This position can be a full-time position, or the Firm may hire one or more part-time roles.
- Full-time attorneys will enjoy a flexible salaried schedule but are expected to be available generally during our client's working hours.
- The schedule and hours of part-time attorneys will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
- While the schedule can be flexible, it should be fairly regular to ensure consistency and availability to meet client demands.
- The firm operates out of New York City and Rhinebeck, NY.
