About the role
- The Operations Manager is a member of the site leadership team and has accountability for safety, quality, and productivity of the Operations organization at the Silver Peak site.
- The position requires a range of management and technical skills and a thorough understanding of plant systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Drives compliance to Albemarle Standards, Environmental regulations, MSHA regulations and HSE policies
- Creates and maintains a respectful and inclusive work environment and maintains Albemarle's core values
- Develops and leads implementation of the strategic direction for Operations
- Drives Operational Discipline and Manufacturing Excellence
- Leads the organization to drive incident investigations to root cause and implement corrective actions utilizing the hierarchy of control
- Develops and maintains Operations KPIs to drive data-based decision making and improvements
- Drives continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Ability to work effectively in teams and with individuals at all levels within an organization
Nice to have
- Prior manufacturing experience, including Line Leadership
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management
- Experience with MSHA compliance
- Lean Management or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Knowledge of HR process, procedures, and policies
