Responsibilities
- You will support conceptual design and development of new Turbomachinery as the subject matter expert in one or more key areas. You will perform the necessary design trades, preliminary design work and analysis to support this.
- You will collaborate with the Turbomachinery Design team to put together high performing state of the art new turbomachinery detailed designs that are manufacture-able and flight ready.
- You will support existing Ursa Major Turbomachinery where applicable to troubleshoot performance or reliability issues in your area(s) of expertise.
Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- 5+ years' experience working with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX or PTC Creo.
- Significant experience / technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience in a Turbomachinery related analysis software (ANSYS FEA, CFD or other specialized software as applicable)

Skills
- Experience with structural and thermal analysis using Ansys FEA software
- Proficient major industry CFD software (CFX, Fluent etc )

- This is a hybrid position based out of Berthoud, Colorado with the expectation to work on-site 2-3-days per week.
Compensation
- Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $132,000 - $165,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
