About the role
- Auditing provides clients with an objective evaluation of a company's financial statements.
- You will work with different teams to give organizations in multiple industries a representation of their financial performance.
- As a member of the audit team, you will complete nationwide fieldwork for operational and financial audits.
Responsibilities
- Prepare clear and concise work papers that document work performed, results obtained, and have definitive conclusions.
- Further, document any recommendations for client correspondence.
- Develop positive working relationships with all client's staff.
- Perform inventory observations as well as documented results.
- Maintain professional skepticism, including consideration of alternative and disconfirming evidence.
- Identify and document risks, issues, and conclusions - consult with appropriate team members.
- Escalate risks and issues beyond own experience or skill set.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other accounting-related topics and governing entities.
- Ability to work extended hours during busy season.
- Ability to travel nationally to client sites to perform audit fieldwork (40-60 nights per calendar year).
- Current, valid driver's license.
