About the role

  • Exeter Associates, Inc., an economics consulting firm based in Columbia, Maryland, has an immediate opening for a staff economist.
  • This position will entail working independently and working with senior staff on a wide range of energy- and policy-related projects.
  • Description Exeter Associates provides economic, strategy, and financial consulting services in the areas of electricity, natural gas, public utility regulation, the environment, and antitrust.

Responsibilities

  • Exeter provides comprehensive consulting services in electricity and natural gas procurement, utility rate case support, utility options studies, contract negotiation, and policy analysis and implementation.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience in the electricity, natural gas and/or waste/wastewater industries and a Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, or a related field.
  • The candidate should have strong quantitative, analytic, and writing skills and be capable of effectively communicating technical material to a lay audience.
