About the role
- The Housekeeper will report to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Hours: This facility is staffed 24 hours a day.

Requirements
- Ability to be tactful and courteous to patients/residents, visitors and staff.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with others and the Department Leader.
- Ability to read well enough to follow directions and understand the responsibilities of working with chemicals, equipment, both manual and powered and supplies in the Environmental Services Department.
- Experience in maintaining sanitary environments is an asset.
- No formal education is required for this job.
- Possess interpersonal skills needed to function in a "team setting".
- Understands importance of maintaining established sanitary standards in housekeeping.
- Appropriate personal hygiene.
- Willing and able to participate in educational sessions, in-service training and floor demonstrations.
Compensation
- Automatic 6% salary deferral upon employment

- Position Information: The housekeeper will complete cleaning functions at Citizens Medical Center, our acute care facility.
- The technician works with equipment and supplies to perform a variety of environmental services and other duties in accordance with established policies and procedures in order to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition.
- Days: We are currently looking for an individual to work 8 hour days, 5 days a week, including every other weekend.
- Receive and follow cleaning assignments.
- Complete routine maintenance on carpets, tiles and vinyl floors.
- Follow established safety precautions and infection control procedures.
- Attend meetings and in-services.
- Other duties as assigned.
