About the role
- This position could be based out of our Louisville, KY office or our Jeffersonville, IN office.
- Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Department Leadership: Leads, grows, and manages a team or teams, including engineers and technicians.
- Guides the team to deliver high-quality results.
- Plans, organizes, and directs department activities, including project management, design, and construction oversight.
- Provides leadership in the planning, design, and execution of major projects.
- Perform QC/QA as needed.
- Client and Stakeholder Relations: Develops new client relationships and seeks out opportunities for new business.
- Maintains strong relationships with existing clients.
- Fiscal/Budgetary Performance: Actively works to improve productivity and efficiency, and addresses negative project variances. Collaborates on budget development, implement cost control measures, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in not only managing water resource design projects but also driving efforts to grow our team and expand our presence in the regional market.
- We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
- The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer with substantial experience managing wastewater, drinking water and/or storm water projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE).
- Demonstrated success in managing large and/or complex Water Resources engineering projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in personnel management and leadership with a strong track record of guiding teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Strong client management capabilities with proven ability to develop and maintain new client relationships.
- Valid Driver's License
Nice to have
- Demonstrates comfort and confidence in identifying new business opportunities, engaging clients, and driving growth within the civil engineering sector.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 15 years of experience in water resources engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
