Duties and Responsibilities: Provide daily personal care for the Residents, using a personal centred model.

Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Graduate of the Personal Support Worker Certificate Program.
Or equivalent to the above, must meet Section 47 of Long Term Care Home Act - Qualifications of Personal Support Workers.
As a Personal Support Worker with Norview Lodge, you'll provide compassionate, resident-centred care that supports residents' daily needs, dignity, and well-being.
Your work will help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment while enhancing quality of life for residents and their families.

Previous experience in a long term care home an asset.
Report any maintenance/safety requirements and/or shortages of equipment/supplies required to complete his/her work to the Registered Staff.
To adhere to infection control policies, procedures, protocols, routines and additional practices as required.
Complete required documentation.

Ability to operate general office equipment, Resident lifting and assistive devices, and general medical equipment.

Participate in annual mandatory education as per MOHLTC regulations as well as in-service educational opportunities.

Undertake all duties and responsibilities in compliance with Health and Safety standards, guidelines and legislation.
Maintain awareness (at all times) of emergency procedures; participate in drills and associated educational opportunities.
Must be aware of safe work practices as they relate to job responsibilities and work environment, and have the basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Successful applicants are required to provide the Employer with a current Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector where required and verification of education.
