  • Duties and Responsibilities: Provide daily personal care for the Residents, using a personal centred model.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Graduate of the Personal Support Worker Certificate Program.
  • Or equivalent to the above, must meet Section 47 of Long Term Care Home Act - Qualifications of Personal Support Workers.
  • As a Personal Support Worker with Norview Lodge, you'll provide compassionate, resident-centred care that supports residents' daily needs, dignity, and well-being.
  • Your work will help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment while enhancing quality of life for residents and their families.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a long term care home an asset.
  • Report any maintenance/safety requirements and/or shortages of equipment/supplies required to complete his/her work to the Registered Staff.
  • To adhere to infection control policies, procedures, protocols, routines and additional practices as required.
  • Complete required documentation.

Skills

  • Ability to operate general office equipment, Resident lifting and assistive devices, and general medical equipment.

Compensation

  • Participate in annual mandatory education as per MOHLTC regulations as well as in-service educational opportunities.
