About the role

  • This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, while building a foundational understanding of sales trends and strategic planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support in-season planning by executing daily/weekly reporting needs and tracking PO/inventory logs.
  • Support pre-season planning by executing hindsight reporting with key insights and assisting with market prep.
  • Build a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
  • Collaborate on special projects across various planning divisions to ensure business alignment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the business.
  • As the Assistant Planner, you will provide crucial support to the Planning team (encompassing Business, Demand, Supply, or DTC Planning).

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (v-lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation).
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to work comfortably with numbers and retail math.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new systems (like Anaplan) and changing business needs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Math preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a finance or retail planning role (internship experience with a recognizable company is a plus).
