About the role
- This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, while building a foundational understanding of sales trends and strategic planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Support in-season planning by executing daily/weekly reporting needs and tracking PO/inventory logs.
- Support pre-season planning by executing hindsight reporting with key insights and assisting with market prep.
- Build a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
- Collaborate on special projects across various planning divisions to ensure business alignment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the business.
- As the Assistant Planner, you will provide crucial support to the Planning team (encompassing Business, Demand, Supply, or DTC Planning).
Requirements
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (v-lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation).
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to work comfortably with numbers and retail math.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new systems (like Anaplan) and changing business needs.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Math preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a finance or retail planning role (internship experience with a recognizable company is a plus).
