About the role
- Wealth Advisor focuses on an established base of clients and organically growing their practice through referrals, while leveraging a unified in-house team of experts to help clients achieve their financial goals.
- Unlike other firms, Mercer has a dedicated Sales team allowing our advisors can focus exclusively on their clients.
- They are supported by a sophisticated technology platform and a team of experts in portfolio management, financial planning, tax, estate planning, and more.
Responsibilities
- Wealth Advisor works in a client-focused, team-centered environment to support the team's region-wide business development and client service efforts.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Wealth Advisors, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Drive cultural integration of acquired wealth management practices, ensuring alignment with Mercer's values and standards.
- Utilize Mercer's full suite of services -including tax, estate planning, and insurance-to deliver holistic wealth management.
- Maintain strict adherence to compliance and regulatory standards, upholding Mercer's commitment to client care.
Nice to have
- Series 65 license required (or qualifying exemption based on designation and state requirements).
- Advanced knowledge of financial products, planning concepts, and industry trends.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- able to explain complex investment, tax, and planning strategies clearly.
- Deep understanding of economic trends and their impact on clients and the firm.
- Proficiency with financial planning software.
- Proven leadership in training, coaching, and mentoring junior employees
- Ability to identify process improvements and propose solutions.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferably in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance); Master's degree a plus.
- Extensive experience in building relationships, mentoring, and managing
- Guiding advisors to achieve their potential.
- Fostering a collaborative culture.
- Evaluating performance and recruiting talent.
- Ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Compensation
- $170,000 - $210,000 USD
- The annualized base salary range for this role is based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skillset, and geographic location where work is performed.
