About the role
- IR works to ensure that the financial markets have a deep and thorough understanding of Citi's strategy, financial performance and growth prospects, and in turn, that Senior Management understands the market's perspective on Citi.
- IR is also integrally involved in the preparation of 10-K, 10-Q and other public filings to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of disclosures.
- Senior members of IR communicate with sell-side analysts and investors on a daily basis to provide transparency into the Company and the market environment.
Responsibilities
- Support senior members of the team in creating materials related to Citi's financial results and strategic objectives including those related to quarterly earnings, conferences and Investor Day presentations
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationship with investors, internal and external partners, and stakeholders
- Work with relevant partners and stakeholders to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Citi's businesses, financials, and strategy, as well as relevant industry topics and peer comparisons
- Manage ad hoc and special projects
- Ability to build and manage relationships with external investors and analysts as well as within Citi
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines and multiple demands
- IR is also principally responsible, in conjunction with Finance and Legal, for ensuring that Citi's external disclosures and financial communications are appropriate and help the Street develop an understanding of Citi.
- This allows IR to advise Senior Management about market expectations for Citi, which is critical in developing strategic messages and new disclosures to respond with the ever-evolving market environment.
Requirements
- 12+ years of financial services experience in either Investor Relations, investment banking, or corporate strategy
- Strong understanding of banking and financial services industry, including P&L, balance sheet, capital and drivers of profitability and valuation as well as peer comparisons and industry trends
- Knowledge of bank regulatory environment
- Demonstrated process improvement and leadership experience required
- Ability to learn and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Nice to have
- Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

Compensation
- $170,000.00 - $300,000.00
- In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
