Responsibilities
- Design and conduct independent and collaborative research studies, including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and patient-reported outcomes analyses
- Serve as a key contributor to the preparation of grant proposals submitted to federal agencies, foundations, and industry partners
- Collaborate effectively with clinicians and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure clinical relevance and translational impact of research
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent research projects
- The Assistant Scientist will be embedded in a collaborative academic research environment with access to rich data resources, close clinical partnerships, and institutional support for scholarly productivity.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in applied statistical and/or econometric methods and proficiency in R, SAS, or Stata
- Ability to work independently while contributing productively to a team-based research environment
Nice to have
- experience in musculoskeletal care or orthopaedics is preferred but not required
