About the role

  • The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing communications and scheduling for the Campus Logistics business office and various Campus Logistics facilities.
  • These facilities include Print and Mailing Services, Postal Services, Student Mail Center, and Warehouse Services.
  • The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for maintaining office operations and cleanliness at the Campus Logistics business office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Workday processes including job postings, transfers, terminations, and other workday duties upon request.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by management with administrative tasks and projects.
  • Create training manuals and onboard new hires for all Campus Logistics

Requirements

  • Strong ability to multitask.
  • 1-2 years of experience in this or a related field
  • Four-year college degree from an accredited university in Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • May be required to travel locally and on campus
  • May be required to sit to perform desk work or type on a keyboard.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
  • Attend all required Campus Logistics meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills
  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
