About the role

  • This Group Director - Investment Counselor role is responsible for delivering comprehensive, goals-based financial planning for high-net-worth and ultra- high-net-worth clients.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients
  • Serve as investment planning resource for private banking teams

  • Support client acquisition and retention through planning expertise

Requirements

  • Minimum experience required: 10+ Years
  • Series 7, 66 licenses required for position
  • Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.

Nice to have

  • Fifteen plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Proven sales success and strong business acumen
  • Strong community presence with an established network
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts
  • Focuses on the client experience and works tirelessly on the client's behalf

Compensation

  • $139,948.50 - $302,571.00
  • Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, commissions, or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.

  • Work with Private Banking team to develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans (insurance, retirement, estate, tax strategy, risk management, philanthropy)
  • If this role is filled in New York, NY the realistic base pay would range from $214,587 - $347,956 /annually, plus participation in generous annual bonus plans
