About the role
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.
Skills
- Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.
- Able to read a map, operate GPS system and accurately plan a route.
- Load and unload incoming/outgoing trucks.
- Pull orders/transfers and have them ready to ship on pallets or boxes.
- Ensure each shipment is labeled correctly for proper delivery.
- Check-in inventory as it arrives on-site.
- Ensure the purchase order matches the vendor packing slips.
- Receive purchase orders into the P21 system.
- Keep warehouse clean at all times.
- Assist Inside Sales Representative with order entry and sales quotes as needed.
- Wear the proper PPE at all times.
- Maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record.
