About the role

  • This individual is a hands-on leader with effective communication and problem-solving skills, who excels in both technical construction knowledge and team management.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required
  • Experience working on projects in a variety of sectors - light industrial and commercial
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence required
  • Fall protection, AWP and forklift tickets & experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced organization continually meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work within the team and uphold York's values
  • Responsible for field documentation such as daily logs, conduct daily safety inspections and other required reports
  • Some manual labour may be required
  • The ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain as required by the nature of the work.
  • A collaborative and flexible approach
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to other team members
  • Constantly strive to improve company processes and the quality of the finished product
  • Use your creativity to provide solutions

Nice to have

  • NCSO is strongly preferred
  • Journeyman Carpenter preferred
  • First aid training preferred
