About the role

  • Summary: This position is responsible for entry-level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.
  • Applicants will be considered for any utility available labor type opening on any shift, such as day, evening, or night shift.
  • Applicants will work in different departments as needed, including but not limited to Tortilla, Taco, Corn, and Packing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene. Keeps department clean and neat. Work as a team member toward task accomplishments. Responsible for following company policies/procedures, written or verbal. Performs all other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Walking, bending, standing, and lifting are required.
  • Must be able to move to different lines as needed.
  • Must be able to train and learn machine operator duties to be a backup.
  • Must be able to train and learn lead duties to be a backup.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED before training or operating line.
  • Keeps a legible, accurate record as required, including the Line Operator's Log.
  • Stop the machine to make the required adjustments, following the lockout-tagout policy.
  • Must be able to perform the Machine Operators Training Checklist job tasks by the end of the 10-working day trial period.
