About the role
- Apera AI is seeking a Roboticist (Co-op) for the 8 months term period (Sep 2026 - April 2027).
- Your focus will be on integrating mechanical engineering and mechatronics into robotics projects.
- This role combines development, testing, and implementation of robotic systems that interact with the physical world in complex environments.
Responsibilities
- Lab Testing - Build, assemble, and test mechanical components and robotic systems
- New Technology Development - Support R&D in mechatronics, automation, and robotics
- Documentation - Maintain detailed records of designs, experiments, and procedures

- New Technology Development - Support R&D in mechatronics, automation, and robotics; integrate new hardware solutions into robotic systems.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Strong mechanical design skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
Nice to have
- Familiarity with industrial robotics, end of arm tooling, and sensors.

- The compensation for this co-op role is CAD $3,600 to $4,500 per month.
