About the role
- Matrix Video Communications is a Canadian audiovisual and media production solutions company that was established back in 1994.
- Some of our audiovisual solutions include videoconferencing systems, digital signage solutions, video walls, split-meeting room configurations, and more.
- The Senior Audiovisual Programmer role will require the candidate to provide programs and configurations for new and existing AV systems.
Responsibilities
- Pre-sales support - Assist with the selection of control systems for designers and sales team.
- Pre-programming - Build a base program based on bill of materials, drawings and scope of work.
- Work with Sales Account Managers to establish customer needs and expectations for system function and GUI design.
- Service call support - Support our team of field Technicians with service calls related to program or control issues.
- Maintain communications with Scheduler, Installation Managers and Account Managers on status of project and task lists.
- Configuration of supporting equipment and system configuration tasks which may include network switch configuration, building IP tables, working with client IT individuals to establish network requirements.

Requirements
- Willing to work out of town, as overnight travel will be required from time to time.
Nice to have
- Minimum of 4 years of audiovisual integration experience.
- Certifications in Crestron/Extron/AMX/QSC programming required.
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I Certification.
Skills
- Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.

- Education and/or Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Electronics, Computer Science, Networking or a relevant field is preferred.
