Responsibilities

  • Set and drive the engineering strategy for Re:Build's battery pack programs, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a cross-disciplinary team of engineers (mechanical, electrical, systems).
  • Oversee the design and development of lithium-ion battery packs and modules across multiple programs and industries.
  • Collaborate with program management, procurement, manufacturing, thermal/mechanical engineering, electrical/BMS teams, and software groups to deliver integrated battery solutions.
  • Present high-quality technical results, design reviews, and recommendations to senior team members.
  • Anticipate technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the engineering response to organizational changes such as acquisitions or program pivots.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with engineering tools (CAD such as CATIA or SolidWorks, electrical layout/analysis software, or equivalent).
  • Experience with BMS software and control algorithms, and/or advanced thermal/mechanical battery pack design.

Skills

  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide adoption of new tools, processes, and materials that enhance performance, safety, and manufacturability.

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is $134,000 – $200,000 per year.
