About the role

Assists with solving and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
Work on electrical issues such as changing bulbs and ballasts, cleaning fixtures, as needed.

Help to maintain workshops in a clean and orderly manner.
Position Summary Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems and equipment.
Essential Responsibilities Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
Performs other duties assigned to him by Management.
Performs carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

Must be available for weekly On-call rotation cycle.
Ability to observe all driving requirements on campus.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from staff, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions and solve problems in standard situations.
Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Uses several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, heating and cooling.
Requires basic analytical skills.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
