About the role

  • Working as part of the Trace Organics Sample Prep team, the AN1 is responsible for preparing environmental samples for instrumental analysis including maintaining adequate production, quality control, and turnaround times.

Responsibilities

  • Lead digestion and extraction of basic and complex samples following documented specific methods and/or procedures;
  • Perform sample concentration, clean-up, submission, and derivatization procedures on all analyses;
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment;
  • Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks;

Requirements

  • Degree or technical diploma in chemistry or related science discipline;
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced, production, and/or preparation environment.
  • To be eligible to work at ALS you must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.
