About the role
- Job Title: Material Control Technician I
- Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the Material Control Room Operation.
- Applicable standard operating procedures and following through on all material movements to guarantee they are handled in accordance with applicable FDA and cGMP procedures.
Responsibilities
- Delivers raw materials to various cells in the Cleanroom.
- Maintains work areas and equipment in a functioning, clean and orderly condition.
- Accurate and timely ERP System (SAP) transaction of any material movement performed to support Kanban System.
- With its simple, wearable design, the tubeless disposable Pod provides up to three days of non-stop insulin delivery, without the need to see or handle a needle.
- Insulet's flagship innovation, the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System, integrates with a continuous glucose monitor to manage blood sugar with no multiple daily injections, zero fingersticks, and can be controlled by a compatible personal smartphone in the U.S. or by the Omnipod 5 Controller.
- Insulet also leverages the unique design of its Pod by tailoring its Omnipod technology platform for the delivery of non-insulin subcutaneous drugs across other therapeutic areas.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing operator role with working knowledge of a warehouse environment.
- No previous Material Handling experience required.
- Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
- Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.
- Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
- No previous experience required, will be trained.

Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/AX Software, SAP, or ability to learn SAP Materials Management module.
- Proficient in business environment software applications - MS Office
- Strong attention to detail.
- Stand up and sit-down forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Medical device industry experience a plus.
- Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, work instructions and communicate effectively.
- High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
- Keen eye for quality.
Compensation
- Compensation & Benefits:For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $17.49 - $26.24This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:• Medical
