You act from a place of empathy, always: taking the time to ask tailored questions, and get into the weeds with people to find the right solutions for them.
In turn, the people you care for see you as a confidante.

Use motivational interviewing, and coaching techniques to support lasting behavior changes in areas like nutrition, sleep hygiene, movement, and stress management using standards of care aligned with NBC-HWC.
Maintain an up-to-date calendar to support member visit scheduling.
Escalate member concerns and help deliver an exceptional care experience.
Deliver empathetic, inclusive care that respects and reflects the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences of all members.
Members receive access to specialized clinicians, including endocrinologists, obesity medicine specialists, and clinical pharmacists, at-home lab testing, prescription medications, and lifestyle support.
You speak compassionately but earnestly, committing yourself fully to helping people understand their conditions, but also have faith in what's possible with the right support and resources.

Expertise in chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and obesity
5+ years of direct client care, ideally in clinical or telehealth settings focused on chronic disease coaching
Comfort with digital tools, including EMRs and coaching platforms
You're in control of when you work, flexibility is built into how we operate.
From client acquisition to billing, we take care of the operations so you can stay focused on delivering great care.
NBC-HWC is required.

The company partners with employers, health plans, and pharmacy benefit managers to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective medical care for individuals living with obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
9amHealth was founded in 2021 and is backed by leading healthcare investors like Define Ventures, SemperVirens, 7Wire Ventures, and The Cigna Group Ventures.
Candidates MUST HOLD an active NBC-HWC certification and have prior experience working with a health and wellness organization.
We are hiring a health coach who knows caring for people with chronic conditions like diabetes and obesity isn't a job, it's a calling.
Health coaches may work with other companies in addition to their services for 9amHealth.
Provide motivational support and educational communications to 9amHealth members that are managing obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and weight concerns via zoom.
Utilize member data to personalize sessions and support members in achieving their health goals.
Complete accurate documentation of all member visits and interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Active certification in health coaching or related fields.
