About the role

A key part of the mission is being able to onboard new credit products as a platform capability, not a reinvention of decisioning, controls, and monitoring each time.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,000 and up to $184,000.
The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Chime Engineering is growing rapidly as we scale to support the financial needs of our members.
Build and improve workflows that enable Credit Risk teams to adjust strategies (rules, thresholds, segmentation) with appropriate guardrails and review processes
Collaborate with senior engineers to learn best practices in system design, testing, and operational excellence
Proactively identify reliability and scalability improvements and drive them to completion with mentorship and feedback
Comfort working across teams to clarify requirements, communicate tradeoffs, and deliver incrementally

Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks, building and operating APIs
To thrive in this role, you have

Interest in data-driven systems and integrating external/third-party data sources (fintech or risk experience is a plus, not required)

Experience working with relational databases and caching systems, and writing safe schema changes and migrations

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,000 and up to $184,000.
The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
