About the role
- The Buyer is responsible for purchasing all components needed to construct, repair, or replace Valmet equipment.
- This role primarily involves handling smaller-value projects, including complete contract (CC Projects) and commodity-based purchases.
- A key aspect of this position is leveraging advanced Excel skills for data analysis and supporting the team with accurate data maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and Manage Procurement
- Create purchase orders in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in project requirements such as liquidated damages (LDs), shipping modes, and manufacturing schedules.
- Plan and implement all necessary actions, regularly perform shortage analysis to ensure material availability supports company and project objectives.
- Logistics Support
- Maintain accurate records of expediting and coordination activities.
- Analyze and maintain supply chain data.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous purchasing or buyer experience is Must have strong skills in data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is essential.
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to handle data processing and analysis.
